During National Women’s History Month in 2024, centered on “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion,” the AntiRacist.Conversations Team is honored to recognize the women within our team and our keynote speaker for the month, Yvonne Brandon.

“Yvonne Brandon is a retired marketing executive who, after 23 years with IBM, moved to Redmond, WA to join Microsoft. Horrified by the election of Donald Trump, she retired in 2017 and joined Indivisible Eastside where she currently serves on the steering committee, driving Get-Out-The-Vote activities. She also serves as Communications Chair with Democrats for Diversity & Inclusion (DDI), Social Action Chair for the Bellevue Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and was a delegate to the 2022 WA State Democratic Convention. 

In 2020 she and three California retired marketing execs formed Freedom Writers Collaborative, a multi-state Indivisible chapter whose sole mission is creating social media toolkits to amplify progressive causes and national candidates using automation and thousands of social media influencers on multiple platforms.
