Posoh-Hello, I am Wapekeniahkiw-meaning White Eagle Woman. My English name is Colleen Dodge.

Colleen is from the Menominee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin. She lives in Neopit on the reservation. There are about 600 people, in her town.

She was adopted and raised in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

Colleen graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM with an Associate of Fine Arts Degree.

She finished her Bachelor of Art Degree, in Art, from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay.

Colleen is married to Gary Dodge Sr. He has been a lawyer for 29 years.Colleen and her husband raised two children -Aremina and Gary Jr.They lost their daughter to a drug overdose last December 29, 2022.Their son Gary Jr works with their Menominee Tribe, in the Communications Department. Their daughter had 4 children. 

Colleen and Gary are raising the two youngest.Colleen is also a 2-time cancer survivor. 7 years she has had a clean bill of health.

Professional Experience

She worked the Census 2009 & 2010 in her local area.

She worked with Wisconsin Conservation Voters in 2012 and 2014 with their Native Vote.

In 2019 Colleen became a Wisconsin Conservation Voices Board Member.

In 2019, she joined WMAN Western Mining Action Network an International anti-mining organization.

In 2019 she went to training with the NOA Native Organizers Alliance. 

They held the 1st Native Presidential Forum in South Dakota. She escorted Bernie Sanders on stage.

In 2023 Colleen was asked to join Emerge Wisconsin by 

Director Arvina Martin in an advisory role.

In 2023, Colleen was asked to join the Coalition to Save The Menominee River Board Member.

Hobbies and Interests

Colleen Dodge is an artist, painter,  an activist, and she sews.
