“Jubilee Symposia Event

June 19, 2020

On June 19, 1865, Black communities in Texas finally received the news that they were free.

Juneteenth (June 19th) is a day that honors Black freedom and Black resistance, and centers Black people’s unique contribution to the struggle for justice in the U.S.

This Juneteenth is a rare moment for our communities to proclaim in one voice that Black Lives Matter, and that we won’t tolerate anything less than justice for all our people.

We will honor the memories of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Rayshard Brooks and countless others who have been killed at the hands of those who took an oath to protect them.

Join our “Jubliee Symposium” on Friday evening, June 19, 2020. Our event will take place via ZOOM, from 7:00 PM-8:15 PM.

Our “Jubliee Symposium” is one of many that will take place, in the days to come. This week, we will dialog about racism and ongoing, related concerns, in our nation. We believe that open and honest conversations, in a group setting, such as our “Jubilee Symposium, is a dynamic place to begin as we celebrate, educate and cultivate a path forward where Black Lives Matter.
